555 Companion          Part #: 3-1

Square Wave Generator.

Needing nothing more than a 5v source, this simple little kit complements the 555 timer with resistors, capacitors, and a Schmitt trigger. The board generates a square wave clock pulse that has an approximate range in frequency from 1.5 Hz to 15 kHz.

Learning Applications can include:

1. Practice using an oscilloscope to measure frequencies and meaningful application of the RC time constant (student activity included)
